Mukhtar Akinteye

The concept of Servant leadership aims at building leaders who looks beyond leadership only as a position, but accentuate that leadership is in fact a responsibility which you would be held accountable for by those you lead.

Servant leadership has at it's core the believe that the leader is not better than those he leads and it always involves interpersonal influence and persuasion.
It is by far the best suited  style of leadership in the management of NGO'S and Social Enterprises.

Servant leadership doesn't necessarily connote being servile or submissive , rather it's about making a difference by identifying and striving to meet the needs of others,  servant leaders can bring succour to the plights of people from a diverse group and does not favour elitism nor does it marginalise any group of people.
