Leadership as a concept is inherently submerged in everyone of us. The most basic of it being self leadership, afterwards the essence of being administrators in any field is in itself an embodiment of Leadership.

Leadership has been defined by numerous scholars of the past, the most befitting however is that postulated by *Bernard Bass*,wherein he defined leaders as agents of change: Leaders are simply those whose actions affect others than the actions of others affect them.

We all are aware that there exist a lot of leadership styles,  ranging from the Democratic style of leadership,  to the authoritative, the laisser- faire style and ultimately the transformational style of leadership.

Servant leadership is however an advanced and more comprehensive style of leadership which takes its root from the transformational style of leadership.
