*Time management (Episode 3)*

The concept of time is well elucidated by the popular nursery rhyme emphasising the relationship between minutes, hours, days and year. Thus time management is an essential skill which ensures judicious measures is put in place leading to conscious control of time spent on certain activities resulting to increase productivity. Note however that time by itself cannot be managed, rather we manage the events in our life in relation to time.

*Tips to effective time management!*
1. In an attempt to solving a problem, you must first identify the problem-cause.
2. Prioritise your work based on importance and urgency
3. Employ the use of a planning tool to record each and every activities. Examples of planning tools are; calendar, pocket diary and computer programs
4. Be organised: Avoid multitasking. Handle a task at a time
5. Avoid procrastination
6. Manage external time wasters such as telephone, unplanned visitors and family obligations.
